Brief Background
Boresha Deposit Taking SACCO is a Tier One SACCOs in Kenya as per SACCO Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) classification. The Society’s Asset base stands at Kshs.10.1 Billion as at 31st December 2022. The SACCO was registered on 31st August 1976 by 10 Members with initial share Capital of Kshs. 60,000.
The growing Membership stands at 75,389 Active. Members Savings/Deposits is Kshs.6.9 Billion while Loan with Members stands at Kshs.9.1 Billion. The Core business is Savings and Credit plus Financial Services to the unbanked Community Members.
The area of operation is the Republic of Kenya, with the Base in Baringo County. The Head Office is in Teachers Plaza, Eldama Ravine, Baringo County. The SACCO, has 19 Branches in Baringo, Uasin-Gishu, Nakuru, Nandi, Laikipia, Elgeyo-Marakwet and Trans-Nzoia Counties.
Boresha SACCO rebranded from Baringo Teachers Sacco Society limited in 2012 so that Members, Clients and Partners Nationally and internationally could effectively be served without limitation by name and geographical location.

Membership Composition
Membership is open to All, Salaried Members comprising of Teachers under Teachers Service Commission (TSC), Civil Servants employed by Public Service Commission, County Governments Staff, Institution staff , KNUT and SACCO staff and its subsidiaries, Retired Members continue being Members.
Non Salaried Members – Membership expanded to Spouses, Children and Relatives of Members, Individual business persons, Micro Enterprises, General Members of the Community, Micro-credit Members, Farmers, Jua Kali business persons, Youth and Women groups and Chamas. They access business training, exchange programmes and capacity building, then savings Accounts, Fixed Deposits Accounts and Credit facilities.
Diaspora Members - Kenyans in the Diaspora with their families form part of the Boresha SACCO membership. The Diaspora members embrace SACCO products and services through digital channels. Member referral through ‘member recruit a member' concept has enabled the SACCO to build a community of membership in the Diaspora
